Yes, since Lesbos Island is within the borders of Greece, it is subject to a visa requirement. Guests holding a burgundy (ordinary) passport are required to have a valid Schengen Visa for their travel dates or, provided that they submit their documents to our agency completely in advance, obtain a Greek Islands Visa on Arrival. Green (special) passport holders are exempt from visa requirements. To enter the island without issues, all passports must have at least 6 months of validity, and the passport must definitely not contain a TRNC entry stamp.
Greece's official currency is Euro (€). International credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) work smoothly at the Lidl Market we will visit on day 1 of our tour, the Mystakelli Cheese Farm on day 2, and the major stores on Ermou Street. However, for coffee/lokma breaks in authentic villages such as Agiasos and Mandamados, small boutique shops, or extra payments such as the Taverna night, we recommend that you keep cash Euros in small denominations with you.
Yes! In the fairy-tale town of the island we will visit on the 2nd day of our tour, Molivos (Mithymna), our guests are given free time for lunch by the sea and to swim and cool off in the waters of the Aegean. Therefore, you should definitely have a swimsuit, towel, beach sandals, and sunscreen in your suitcase. Also, on the 2nd day, since we will climb 114 steps to reach Petra Monastery and walk through the cobblestone streets of villages such as Agiasos, it is very important for your comfort to wear comfortable, orthopedic walking shoes with non-slip soles.
Our tour’s departure point is Akçay Port. To ensure that ticket delivery, check-in, passport, and customs procedures can be completed on time and without delay on Saturday morning, we meet with our Güventur team at the port at 06:30. After the procedures, we reach Lesbos by ferry while enjoying a pleasant journey across the clear waters of the Aegean.
No, on the evening of the 1st day of our tour (Saturday), the Greek Tavern Night with live music, sirtaki, and rich Aegean appetizers, organized to keep alive the island’s traditional entertainment culture, is an extra (optional) event. Guests who would like to join this unforgettable entertainment can easily make a reservation by writing their names to our guide during the tour.
