IZMIR - VENICE - VERONA We meet with our valued guests at 15:00 at the SunExpress counter in the international terminal of Adnan Menderes Airport, and after passport and customs procedures, we will arrive in Italy with the direct flight XQ890 from Izmir to Venice, which departs at 17:10. We start our tour with our vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Our first destination is Verona, a city rich in historical and cultural significance located in the Veneto Region. The city is famously known as the setting for the story of Romeo and Juliet, but Verona is also recognized for its immense Roman heritage, medieval buildings, and impressive Renaissance atmosphere. During our evening tour, we will visit sites including the Arena di Verona (Verona Arena), Juliet’s House (Casa di Giulietta), San Zeno Basilica, and Porta Borsari (Roman Gate). We provide free time for dinner at Piazza delle Erbe (Erbe Square). You can try local dishes such as risotto all'Amarone, polenta, and baccalà alla veronese. BOLOGNA - FLORENCE - MONTECATINI
After having breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we set off towards Bologna, one of Italy's medieval cities. After a short journey, we arrive in this beautiful city and start our tour. The central square of this ancient city is Piazza Maggiore, and we will see the Asinelli and Garisende Towers that survived the earthquakes from the 200 towers, the Fountain of Neptune, Basilica of San Petronio, Basilica of Santo Stefano, and the Palazzo del Podesta, which is the City Hall of the city. After our guide's explanations here, we head towards Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance and the pinnacle of art and thought. We begin to explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Florence step by step with our guide. We will see the Florence Cathedral (Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore), famous for its dome and built between 1296-1436, which is considered one of the first significant architectural products of the Renaissance. We visit the National Library, one of the largest in Europe and the largest in Italy, and the Basilica of Santa Croce, known as the "Temple of Italian Glories" since it is the burial place of the most famous Italians such as Michelangelo, Galileo, Dante, Machiavelli, Foscolo, Gentile, Rossini, and Marconi, continuing our tour with the guide's explanations and taking photos. We arrive at the Piazza Signoria, which takes its name from the Old Palace (Palazzo Vecchio) in front of it and resembles an open-air museum with many statues surrounding it. We see breathtakingly beautiful statues, including the bronze Statue of Perseus made by Benvenuto Cellini, and we proceed towards the Ponte Vecchio, and then to the Piazza Della Repubblica, known for its street artists and famous cafes. After our free time for strolling and shopping, we settle into our hotel in Montecatini.
SAN GIMIGNANO - SIENA - ORVIETO - TERNI After breakfast at the hotel, we begin our walking tour through the enchanting streets of San Gimignano, which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We visit the San Gimignano Cathedral located at Piazza del Duomo, famous for its frescoes and Gothic architecture. We also see the city's tallest tower, Torre Grossa. Guests who wish can climb the tower during our free time to enjoy the view of the city. We stroll through the captivating streets of the town and have the chance to take magnificent photos. Then, we arrive at Siena, the heart of Tuscany, where elegance meets history. Piazza del Campo resembles a door opening to a time tunnel, taking its viewers back centuries, while the Gothic buildings in the city dazzle with their grandeur competing with the sky. The Siena Cathedral, with its elegant mosaics and sculptures, resembles an art gallery, and every detail echoes the historical depths of Tuscany. Getting lost in the narrow streets of the city feels like encountering a vivid reflection of the past; every corner whispers the stories of old stones, ancient times, and bygone passions. After completing our tour of Siena, we arrive at Orvieto, a historical town located in Umbria, in Central Italy. The city is particularly known for the Orvieto Cathedral (Duomo di Orvieto). Built in a Gothic style, this cathedral enchants its visitors with its impressive façade and captivating interior. We will see this mesmerizing Cathedral with the guidance of our tour leader, who shares insights about its frescoes, which are among the finest examples of medieval art. During our free time for dinner, you can taste the famous Orvieto wine. We will spend the night at our hotel in Terni.
FULL DAY ROME - VATICAN
After having breakfast at our hotel, we leave for our full-day Rome program. First, we head to see the Colosseum, one of the symbolic structures of Rome, one of the oldest cities in the world. The Colosseum has been the stage for gladiator fights, public spectacles, mock naval battles, hunting, executions, recreation of famous battles, and dramas based on classical mythology throughout history. After visiting this famous arena of antiquity, we head to Palazzo Di Venezia following the Roman Palace. After a short photo break, we go to one of the other iconic buildings of the city, the Pantheon. Originally built as a temple for all the gods of Ancient Rome, it was used as a church after the 7th century and houses the graves of important figures in Italian history, including Italy’s first king, II Vittorio Emanuele. After our visit, we see Navona Square, famous for its Fountain of the Four Rivers located at the center of the remains of the ancient Domitian Hippodrome, and then we proceed to the world-famous Trevi Fountain, also known as the Fountain of Love. After our lunch break here, we meet again and walk towards the Spanish Steps, which has been in existence since the 17th century and is named after the Spanish Embassy. We pass through Piazza del Popolo, one of the most historic squares of Ancient Rome, and enjoy some free time in the area where you can find shops of famous brands and cafes to have a pleasant time. After our enjoyable time in Rome, we meet our vehicle and head to the Vatican. After Seeland, we visit the spiritual center of the Catholic denomination, known as the second smallest state in the world, listening to our guide's explanations and seeing St. Peter's Basilica from the outside. After a panoramic view of Vatican by the vehicle, we arrive at our hotel. Accommodation in Civitavecchia and surroundings.
PISA - PORTOFINO - TURIN After having breakfast at our hotel, we continue our tour towards Pisa. Pisa is a city known for its historical and cultural richness, located in the Tuscany region of Italy. The symbol of Pisa, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, is situated in the same area as the Pisa Cathedral. The tower is famous worldwide for its tilted structure. We have free time for taking photos here, after which we visit the Pisa Cathedral (Duomo di Pisa) located in Piazza del Duomo, accompanied by our guide’s explanations. We then provide some free time in the Miracoli Square. After this free time, we begin our journey towards Portofino, which is considered one of the Mediterranean's most elegant gems with its colorful houses and deep blue waters, resembling a dreamlike village. We will reach Portofino by taking a boat from the charming Santa Margherita village, which is adorned with green hills and colorful houses, after a 30-minute sea journey. In Portofino, where the houses are dominated by yellow, orange, green, and red colors, and green trees rise behind the houses, we have enjoyable moments ahead of us. After the tour, we arrive in Turin, the capital of the Piedmont region. After free time for dinner, you can taste the famous chocolate and white truffle unique to Turin. Overnight stay at our hotel in Turin.
TORINO - COMO LAKE After our breakfast at the hotel, we depart for a city tour of Torino. Our tour begins with the neoclassical Gran Madre di Dio church, established in 1831, which resembles the Pantheon in Rome. We will see the Po River, one of Italy's most important rivers, the Vittorio Emanuele bridge, known from Fast and Furious, and the Vittorio Veneto square. Then we will view from the outside some of the most iconic palaces of the Italian Royal Family, including Palazzo Reale and Palazzo Madama, as well as the oldest theater and opera house in Torino, Teatro Carignano, and the second most important Egyptian Museum in the world. After our photo stop at Piazza San Carlo, we set off for the Como region. During our tour, we will visit the magnificent Como Cathedral, one of the most important structures in Como, accompanied by our guide's explanations. This cathedral combines both Gothic and Romanesque architectural styles, and its interior is adorned with impressive frescoes and stained glass windows. The historic square surrounding the cathedral is also worth seeing. After having some free time at Como Lake, we complete our tour and have free time for dinner. After our free time, we will be staying at a hotel in the Milan area.
MILAN - SIRMIONE After having our breakfast at the hotel, we reach Milan, the second-largest city in Italy after Rome. Known as the center of automotive, fashion, and also art and lyrical opera, we start our walking tour by visiting Sforza Castle, which was built in the 15th century by Duke Francesco Sforza of Milan. We will see La Scala Theatre, where one of the most famous Italian opera composers, Verdi, staged his last opera, and we also visit the Leonardo Da Vinci Monument and Museum, where Leonardo spent 17 years in Milan. Next, we explore the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery, one of the oldest shopping centers in the world, home to famous fashion stores. We conclude our walking tour by visiting the Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) at Piazza Del Duomo, the city's most central square and the fourth largest cathedral in Europe. Our next stop will be Sirmione, a charming town located on Lake Garda, famous for its stunning views, historical buildings, and tranquil atmosphere. Among the places to be seen are the Scaliger Castle and Grotte di Catullo, accompanied by our guide. You can take amazing photos in the narrow streets of Sirmione and enjoy coffee in the small cafes. We will spend the night at our hotel in the Padova area.
VENICE OUTLET - VENICE - IZMIR
After having breakfast at our hotel, we settle into our vehicle, and we arrive at Italy's jewel, Venice, embraced by the memories of its glorious past, art, culture, and love. We disembark from our bus and, accompanied by our guide’s narration, we transition to the island of San Marco by boat. Upon arrival, we begin our panoramic city tour of the island of Venice. We enjoy listening to our guide’s explanations while exploring San Marco Square, the Basilica, the Doge's Palace, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the historic Campanile Bell Tower. Not to mention that a visit to Venice wouldn't be complete without a gondola ride; we invite those interested to join in the famous gondola experience. After completing our tour of Venice, we give free time for our outlet tour, where you can purchase products from famous brands at much more affordable prices. After our free time, we head to the airport. After completing the necessary passport controls, baggage, and check-in procedures, we board our direct flight XQ891 to Izmir at 19:50. We arrive at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport at 23:15 local time, and we say goodbye until we meet again on another tour.
