IZMIR - ADANA - GAZIANTEP After check-in procedures at Adnan Menderes Airport at 05:15, we reach Adana at 06:45 with the İzmir - Çukurova flight. We meet our vehicle waiting for us in Adana and begin to get to know the city. Our first stop is the historic symbol of Adana, the Stone Bridge. After photographing the stone bridge located over the Seyhan River, we see the Sabancı Mosque, which has the largest worship area in Turkey and the Balkans. After our visit to Adana, we head toward Gaziantep. We stop by the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, the largest mosaic museum in the world. During this captivating tour, guided by our tour guide, we will closely observe mosaics, sculptures, ceramics, and stone artifacts from the Roman period. Of course, we will also have the opportunity to closely examine the "Gypsy Girl" mosaic. As we follow the traces of history through the artifacts unearthed from the Zeugma Ancient City, we embark on a mini time travel into the past. After that, we move to the historical bazaar area of Gaziantep. During our tour of Zincirli Bedesten, Almacı Bazaar, and Bakırcılar Bazaar, we will closely witness the craftsmanship of copper work that comes to life through the hard work of masters in the echoing narrow streets. After our tour, we arrive at our hotel in Gaziantep. Dinner and accommodation will be at our hotel.
HALFETI - ŞANLIURFA ARCHAEOLOGY MUSEUM - BALIKLIGÖL - ŞANLIURFA - SIRA NIGHT
After having our breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we set off towards the captivating natural beauty of Halfeti, which has hosted the TV series “Karagül.” Here, we will have the opportunity to join a 1-hour boat tour on the Birecik Dam Lake (extra). During the boat tour, we will see Rumkale, historical cave houses, and the submerged Savaşan Village and will touch the traces of the past with the soothing sounds of the wind and water. After our boat trip, we will proceed to Şanlıurfa, known as the “City of Prophets.” Our first stop here will be the statue of the Balıklıgöl Man and the inscription of Harran Sin Temple, along with the Archaeology Museum, which showcases artifacts shedding light on Şanlıurfa’s history from 12,000 years ago to the present; from Paleolithic to Islamic Period. As we continue our tour, our next stop will be the sacred Balıklıgöl, where it is believed that Hz. İbrahim was cast into the fire, the Ayn Zeliha Lake, and the cave where Hz. İbrahim was born. With our guide's impressive narratives, we witness the historical beliefs of this ancient city. Afterwards, we will take a short shopping break for local spices, regional products, and souvenirs of Urfa. At the end of the day, we return to our hotel to rest. In the evening, those who wish can join the (extra, dinner included) Urfa Sıra Night entertainment with our guests. A pleasant night awaits us with local music, folk songs, and an unforgettable atmosphere.
GÖBEKLİTEPE - MUSEUM CITY MARDIN - MIDYAT After having breakfast at our hotel, we set off towards the zero point of history: Göbeklitepe. This ancient temple, which rewrote world history, dates back 12,000 years. Accompanied by our guide, we embark on a fascinating journey here. Göbeklitepe is not only the world's first temple but also the first sculpture workshop, the land where agriculture began, and is considered a turning point in human history. The T-shaped giant stone pillars featuring stylized human figures, animal reliefs carved into the rocks, and its mystical atmosphere will take you back thousands of years. Following our guide's narration, we trace the footprints of those who covered it up, saying, "We will return here." After our visit to Göbeklitepe, we change our course towards the stone city of Mardin, known as "Gerdanlık" at night and "Seyranlık" during the day. Our first stop is Kasımiye Medrese, which began construction during the Artuqid period and was completed at the end of the 15th century. We enjoy the historical atmosphere against the backdrop of the Mesopotamian landscape while listening to our guide's explanations, and then we take a short photo break. Afterwards, we continue our tour in the dream city of Mardin: PTT Building, Ulu Mosque, Zinciriye Medrese, historical stone houses, the passages called Abbara, and the labyrinthine narrow streets... Don't forget to touch the stone walls with every step, connecting with the past in that coolness. The sounds of children in Mardin, the distant sounds of horseshoes, and the wind filtering through the stones will envelop you. After our tour, we provide free time for shopping at Mardin Bazaar. Here, you can find beautiful souvenirs unique to the region such as hand-printed textiles, copper trays and candlesticks, kilim, felt, and wooden craftsmanship products, scarves, prayer beads, almond sweets, coffee pots, and cup-style mugs called “gümgüm”. At the end of the day, we return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at our hotel.
MARDIN - KAFRO - HASANKEYF - DIYARBAKIR - IZMIR After breakfast, we will start exploring Midyat, a city that has extraordinarily preserved its historical texture and resembles an open-air museum with its architecture. The buildings shaped by the craftsmanship of stone masters turn the city into a film set. It is also the center of the intricate art of telkari, elegantly crafted by Syriac artisans. During our visit, we will have the opportunity to shop for local products such as telkari jewelry, regional wines, natural cosmetic products, coffee, and almond sweets. Finally, we will visit the Midyat Guest House, famous for hosting many series, especially known for the series "Sıla," "Adını Kalbime Yazdım," and "Hercai." From here, we will head to Elbeğendi (Kafro) Village, located at the foot of the Bagok Mountains. We will see the stone mansions built by our Syriac citizens who had to emigrate to Europe in the past when they returned to their homeland. After leaving here, our route takes us to Hasankeyf. This ancient city, one of the most important cultural heritages of Mesopotamia with a history of thousands of years, has had its historical structures carefully relocated to the New Hasankeyf area, as the waters of the Ilısu Dam submerged it. During our visit, we will get a panoramic view of landmarks such as Zeynel Bey Tomb, El Rızk Mosque, Koç Mosque, Kızlar Mosque, Artuklu Hamam, Imam Abdullah Lodge, and Sultan Süleyman Complex, while learning about them from our guide. After our visit to Hasankeyf, we will proceed to Diyarbakır via Batman. As we travel, the red-tinged fertile lands accompany us, passing through the stone and rock seas formed by the eruption of Karacadağ thousands of years ago. When we arrive in Diyarbakır, we will begin our city tour; we will visit the Ulu Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Anatolia and regarded as the fifth "Harem-i Şerif" in the Islamic world, Dört Ayaklı Minare, the Diyarbakır Walls, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the Historic On Gözlü Bridge, and then move on to Diyarbakır Airport to board our SunExpress flight to Izmir, which departs at 18:05. After our arrival in Izmir around 20:20, we conclude this unforgettable Southeastern Anatolia tour filled with experiences and bid farewell to our valued guests with the hope of meeting again on our next journey.
