Frequently Asked Questions

To cross into Georgia, it is a legal requirement that you have a New Generation Chip ID Card or a valid passport (travel with a driver’s license or old-style identity cards is not permitted). A photo is required on the ID cards of all participants, including infants and children. In addition, if our guests under the age of 18 are traveling without one or both of their parents, a notarized consent letter must be obtained before the tour.

The steep and rugged geography of the Black Sea region and its high mountain roads are not suitable for the passage of the large tourist buses we use in the tour program. Transportation to natural wonders such as the Çat Valley (Zilkale, Palovit) and Artvin Borçka Karagöl can only be provided by local minibuses and private minibuses. Therefore, our excursions requiring these transfers are arranged as extra (optional).

Due to the Black Sea region's changeable weather and the cool mountain air, you should definitely have clothes in your suitcase that you can layer. While walking around in a T-shirt in sunny weather, do not forget to bring a cardigan, fleece, and a water/windproof raincoat that you may need in the highlands. Also, to ensure comfort in historical places and on mountain roads, it is very important that you choose a non-slip, orthopedic, and comfortable walking shoe.

Although our tour departs from Izmir, it also offers the opportunity to join from certain points along our route. Our guests may join our tour vehicle from Manisa New Bus Terminal, Akhisar, Balıkesir Bus Terminal and Bursa Minteks points, provided they give prior notice.
