Yes, since Lesbos Island is within the borders of Greece, it is subject to visa requirements. Our guests holding maroon (ordinary) passports are required to obtain a valid Schengen Visa for their travel dates or a Greek Islands Visa on Arrival, provided that they submit their documents to our agency in full in advance. Green (special) passport holders are exempt from visa requirements. To ensure trouble-free entry to the island, all passports must have at least 6 months of validity, and the passport must definitely not contain a TRNC entry stamp.
Greece's official currency is Euro (€). International credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) work smoothly at major shopping points such as the Jumbo AVM we will visit on the 1st day of our tour, the Barbayanni Uzo Factory in Plomari, and the Lidl Market on the 2nd day. However, we recommend that you carry cash Euros in small denominations for extra payments such as coffee/loukoumades breaks in authentic villages like Agiasos and Mandamados, small boutique shops, or Taverna night.
Yes! On the 1st day of our tour in the coastal town of Plomari and during the free time we will give in Petra on the 3rd day, our guests are offered the opportunity to swim and cool off in the waters of the Aegean. Therefore, you should definitely have swimsuit, towel, beach slippers, and sunscreen in your suitcase. Also, since on the 3rd day we will climb 114 steps to reach Petra Monastery and walk along the cobblestone streets of historical villages such as Agiasos and Molivos, wearing a non-slip, comfortable, and orthopedic walking shoes is extremely important for your comfort.
The departure point of our tour is Akçay Port. On Friday morning, to ensure that ticket delivery, check-in, passport, and customs procedures can be completed on time and without delay, we meet our Güventur team at the port at 06:30. After the procedures, we reach Lesbos by taking our ferry, scheduled to depart at 07:30, on a short and enjoyable journey lasting approximately 30 minutes across the blue waters of the Aegean.
No, the Greek Tavern Night with live music, sirtaki, and a rich selection of Aegean mezes, organized to keep the island's traditional entertainment culture alive on the evening of the 2nd day of our tour (Saturday), is an extra (optional) activity. Our guests who would like to join this unforgettable entertainment, where you will feel the culture of both sides of the Aegean, can easily make a reservation by registering their names with our guide during the tour.
