Yes, since Lesbos Island is within the borders of Greece, it is subject to visa regulations. Guests holding maroon (ordinary) passports must have a valid Schengen Visa on their travel dates, or obtain a Greek Islands Visa on Arrival by submitting their documents completely to our agency in advance. Green (special) passport holders are exempt from visa requirements. To ensure smooth entry to the island, all passports must have at least 6 months of validity, and there must definitely be no KKTC entry stamp in the passport.
Greece's official currency is Euro (€). International credit cards (Visa/Mastercard) work smoothly at major shopping points such as Jumbo Mall, which we will visit on the 1st day of our tour, Barbayanni Uzo Factory in Plomari, and Lidl Market on the 2nd day. However, we recommend that you carry cash Euros in small banknotes for extra payments such as coffee/lokma breaks in authentic villages like Agiasos and Mandamados, small boutique shops, or Taverna night.
Yes! On the 1st day of our tour in the coastal town of Plomari and during the free time we will give on the 3rd day in Petra, our guests will be offered the opportunity to swim and cool off in the waters of the Aegean. Therefore, you should აუცილებლად have swimsuit, towel, beach slippers and sunscreen in your suitcase. Also, since on the 3rd day we will climb 114 steps to reach Petra Monastery and walk through the cobblestone streets of historic villages such as Agiasos and Molivos, wearing a non-slip, comfortable and orthopedic walking shoe is extremely important for your comfort.
Our tour departs from Akçay Port. To ensure ticket delivery, check-in, passport, and customs procedures can be completed on time and without delay on Wednesday morning, we meet our Güventur team at the port at 06:30. After the procedures, our ferry departing at 07:00 takes us on the sea journey between Akçay and Lesbos, which, thanks to the short distance, lasts only about half an hour.
No, on the evening of the 2nd day of our tour, the Greek Taverna Night with live music, sirtaki, and rich Aegean meze, organized to keep the island’s traditional entertainment culture alive, is an extra (optional) activity. Guests who wish to join this unforgettable entertainment, where we will feel the shared culture of the two sides of the Aegean, can easily make a reservation by registering their names with our guide during the tour.
