Meeting with the GÜVENTUR team at Dikili Harbor at 07:00 AM and after the check-in procedures, the passport control process begins. After completing the customs procedures, we embark on a pleasant journey across the turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea with the scheduled ferry at 08:00.
After approximately 30 minutes of a short and comfortable sea journey, we arrive at Mytilene Island. This short distance allows us to meet the island's unique atmosphere with a quick and smooth transition after the passport procedures. The silhouette of Mytilene, its harbor, and coastline greet us, heralding the beginning of our delightful exploration.
Upon arrival, we begin our panoramic city tour accompanied by our guide.
We visit the magnificent Agios Therapon Church located in Mytilene city center and learn about its impressive dome and architecture.
We walk through the Old Bazaar area, which has survived from the Ottoman period, witnessing the island's multicultural history. The New Mosque and the historic Bazaar Bath in this area are seen with our guide's narration, giving us a closer understanding of Mytilene's Ottoman heritage.
After the city tour, we head towards the Agiasos Mountain Village, renowned for its traditional architecture and handicrafts, accompanied by olive trees and natural scenery. In this charming village, which resembles an open-air museum with its wooden carvings, ceramic workshops, and stone streets, we visit one of the region's most important religious structures, the Panagia Vrefokratousa Church (Our Lady's Church).
After the visit, free time is given. Guests can enjoy the atmosphere of the village with traditional Greek coffee, purchase homemade jams, liqueurs, and handicrafts, or take lovely photos in the narrow streets.
At the end of the day, transfer to our hotel and check into the rooms.
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off towards the north route, known as one of the most enjoyable paths of Mytilene Island. Throughout our journey, accompanied by our guide's narration, we have the opportunity to get to know the island more closely amidst olive trees and Aegean views.
Our first stop is Petra, famous for its impressive monastery located on a rocky hill. Reaching this special point by climbing 114 steps, we visit the monastery and gaze at the unique island view stretching over the turquoise waters of the Aegean. Free time is given for photo opportunities.
Then, we change our route to Molivos, one of the most romantic towns on the island, known for its cobbled streets, Ottoman-era fountains, and bay windowed historical houses. We enjoy a pleasant walk in Molivos, with its harbor atmosphere, bower-covered houses, and postcard-like views, allowing free time for shopping, a coffee break, or lunch.
At the final stop of our tour, we reach Mandamados, one of the important religious centers of the island. Here, we visit the Taksiyarhis Church, famous for its miraculous icon. After the visit, we take a short but enjoyable break to taste the locally famous honey yogurt and fresh lokma.
After the program, we view the historically significant Sarlıca Palas panoramically, and then proceed towards the harbor via the famous thermal baths of Thermi Village.
After completing the passport control process, our return journey begins with the scheduled ferry at 18:30. After approximately 30 minutes of a short and comfortable sea journey, we arrive back at Dikili around 19:00.
We wish to meet again in another GÜVENTUR organization, and we conclude our tour with happy memories.
