IZMIR – BAKU
We meet at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal at 09:45 in the morning, and after completing the necessary check-in and baggage procedures, we will take our non-stop flight to Heydar Aliyev Airport in Azerbaijan – Baku. After our arrival, we complete our customs procedures, settle into our bus waiting for us, and head to our hotel. After resting, we make a short journey by our vehicle to Dağ Üstü Parkı, one of the iconic spots of Baku. During this time, when you can see the panoramic view of the city in the best way, you can take a short walk and capture the beauty of the city in photos while enjoying the view of the Flame Towers, the Caspian Sea, and the city center from above. After our tour, we take a walk along Baku's unique coastline on the Caspian Sea. In this area where the texture of the modern city meets nature, we will take a short stroll in the refreshing atmosphere of the Baku Boulevard. After enjoying our free time and having an optional dinner, we move towards our hotel for accommodation. Overnight at our hotel.
QOBUSTAN – ABSHERON
After having breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a day trip filled with cultural and natural beauties accompanied by our guide. Our first destination is Qobustan National Park. We head to our vehicle to move towards this national park located about 60 km away from Baku City. This national park is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is famous for its rock carvings and world-renowned mud volcanoes. After this visit, resembling an open-air museum where history and nature intertwine, we set off to explore the Absheron Peninsula. Our first visit point is the Ateshgah Temple. This temple, which harbors traces of Zoroastrianism, was once used as a worship center for fire worshippers. After our visit to the temple, we proceed to visit the burning mountain known as Yanardag. This spot is an interesting area where natural gas runs long. It is one of the symbolic natural formations of Azerbaijan, known as the "Land of Fire." After our tour of Absheron Peninsula, we head to visit the Heydar Aliyev Center, one of the most striking architectural structures in Baku. Designed by the famous architect Zaha Hadid, this structure is considered one of the iconic examples of modern architecture not only in Azerbaijan but also in the world, with its curved and fragmented lines. A photo break will be provided, and guests who wish can carefully examine this architectural structure outside the center. After spending a nice time here, we return to our hotel. Accommodation will be at our hotel.
BAKU After having our breakfast, we can head to one of the most beautiful areas of Baku, the Baku Boulevard. While enjoying the fresh air and sea view along the coastline stretching towards the Caspian Sea, we will take a guided walk. During our walk, we will visit the Venice-themed area known as Little Venice, located within Baku Boulevard. In this area filled with waterways, small bridges, and gondolas, we will have the opportunity to explore this romantic corner that resembles European charm. Next, we will proceed to the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum. We will receive a brief introduction from our guide in front of this modern museum, which resembles a giant carpet roll in its exterior, and we will be given a short free time for photography. After the free time, we will head to the heart of Baku, known as İçerişehir (Old City), which has historic structures but suffers from the decay of its historical fabric. This area, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, offers a journey into the past with its narrow stone streets, historical buildings, and authentic atmosphere, where we will photograph the Maiden Tower (from the outside) and the Shirvanshahs Palace (from the outside) with brief explanations from our guide. We will continue to explore the historical walls, stone houses, mosques, and caravanserais. After some free time for shopping for traditional souvenirs, we will move towards Fountain Square, which is famous for its cafes, shops, and relaxation areas. The Nizami Street, which we will pass through, is the most vibrant shopping street in Baku. After our walk on Nizami Street, we will return to our hotel by our vehicle. We will meet with our guests in the hotel lobby to enter the Azerbaijani Night with dinner. While tasting the delicious dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine, we will enjoy the Azeri-Caucasian Dance performance and Live Music, and participate in the Gala Dinner at the historic Shirvanshah National Restaurant. After spending quality time here, we will return to our hotel for accommodation.
