Gastronomy and Culture Meeting in Mytilene: A Friendship Bridge Between İzmir and Mytilene
On Saturday, September 27, 2025, a very special event took place in the center of Mytilene: the Gastronomy and Culture Meeting. Organized jointly by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and the Municipality of Mytilene, this program brought together the two shores of the Aegean, strengthening cultural ties.
🌿 Cultures Together
The event began with the opening of the photography exhibition "Window to the Past" at Halim Bey Art Gallery.
This exhibition, a joint effort of the İzmir Photography Art Association (İFOD) and the Mytilene Photography Community, brought together art lovers from İzmir and Mytilene.
Following the exhibition, gastronomy workshops were held at Agia Eirini Park. Presentations prepared by leading chefs from İzmir and Mytilene received great interest:

These presentations, prepared with the characteristic flavors of both Greek and Turkish cuisines, showcased how two cultures enrich each other.

Performing artists included: Maria Seitandou, Erdem Güreler, Gianna Maistrelli, and Aristeidis Apostolou.
