What are the boarding points for Black Sea tours?

On our tours, we pick up our guests from predetermined main stops such as Izmir (Karşıyaka, Bornova, Üçkuyular, etc.), Manisa, Akhisar, Balıkesir, and Bursa, depending on our route. The exact boarding times and stop information are communicated to you in detail by our agency one day before your tour.

Is a passport required for the Batumi crossing on Black Sea tours?

No, you do not need a passport or visa for our tour programs that include transit through Batumi (Georgia). You can cross the border only with your new-generation chip-based Turkish ID Card . Border crossing is absolutely not possible with old-type identity cards or driver’s licenses. In addition, it is mandatory for all age groups, including infants, to have a photo on their ID cards.

How is transportation to the Black Sea highlands (Zilkale, Karagöl, etc.) provided?

Due to the Black Sea’s steep and rugged geographical structure, it is not possible to reach high-altitude natural wonders such as Borçka Karagöl, Zilkale, Palovit Waterfall, and Çeçeva Tea Gardens by large tour buses. Therefore, transportation to the relevant plateaus is provided by special minibuses (as an extra tour) driven by local drivers who know the region very well.

What is the accommodation and meal concept in the tours?

Almost all of our domestic hotel accommodations in our Black Sea tours are on a Half Board basis (breakfast and dinner are included in the tour fee). However, in our Batumi-accommodation programs, dinner on that evening is left as free time and is not included in the price, so that you can freely experience Georgia's rich cuisine and optional Georgian Night entertainment. Lunches are taken as extra throughout the tour so that you can taste local flavors.

Can children under 18 cross to Batumi with only one parent?

Children under 18 can cross without issues if they are traveling with both parents (mother and father). However, if the child will travel to Batumi only with the mother, only with the father, or with another relative, it is a legal requirement to present the original notarized consent letter obtained from the parent who is not participating in the tour to the officers at the border crossing.

What should we bring with us when coming on the Black Sea tour?

The Black Sea region has a variable climate that can let you experience all four seasons in a single day. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you pack in your suitcase: a fleece, cardigan, or a light raincoat for highland outings and cool evenings; and a comfortable walking shoe with non-slip soles (preferably waterproof) to provide comfort during nature walks.
