Our tour is specially designed for guests with limited time so that they do not waste time on the road. Therefore, it is operated with direct flights (SunExpress) using two different airports, with Gaziantep for departure and Diyarbakır for return. Instead of a route that would take days by bus, we travel along a linear route without retracing our steps in our luxury tour vehicles, minimizing fatigue and maximizing sightseeing time.
No, the Halfeti boat tour, Nemrut Mountain minibus transfer, and Şanlıurfa dinner with Sıra Gecesi entertainment specified in our program are completely optional extra activities organized according to our guests’ preferences. However, in this 4-day boutique and private program, we recommend participating in all activities so that you can fully experience the region’s culture.
Museum and archaeological site entrance fees are not included in the tour price. However, as part of our tour, we will visit world-renowned heritage sites such as the Zeugma Mosaic Museum and Göbeklitepe, which are affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Guests who have a Museum Pass can enter these places free of charge. We strongly recommend that you obtain a digital Museum Pass on your phone before joining the tour. Entrance fees for private establishments where the Museum Pass is not valid (such as Mor Gabriel Monastery, etc.) are paid at the gate.
Our tour is based on a half-board concept. The 3 breakfasts served after accommodation in our hotels, as well as the dinners at the hotel on the 1st and 3rd days, are included in the tour price. (Only the breakfast taken upon our morning arrival in Gaziantep on the first day is extra.) The dinner on the 2nd day in Şanlıurfa (Sıra Gecesi) and the dinner on the 4th day in Diyarbakır before departure are not included and will be charged additionally. All lunches are at our guests’ own expense.
Although the Southeastern Anatolia Region generally has a hot climate, Mount Nemrut summit (2,150 meters), which we will visit on the second day, can be quite cool and windy in every season, even in the middle of summer. Therefore, you should definitely have a thick coat, fleece, or windbreaker in your suitcase. In addition, to walk comfortably in the ancient cities and on the stone streets of Mardin and Midyat, you should choose orthopedic walking shoes with non-slip soles.
