IZMIR - IPSALA We will pick you up from the meeting points between 18:00 and 20:00 and start our journey. With necessary breaks, we will arrive at the IPSALA border gate via the route of AYVALIK - EDREMIT - ÇANAKKALE, and we will complete our passport procedures.
IPRALA - KAVALA - DRAMA - ALYSTRATIS CAVE - SERRES - THESSALONIKI In the morning, after completing passport and customs procedures, we enter Greece through the Ipsala border gate. We take a breakfast break at a suitable location and then arrive in Drama, which was the 3rd district of the Thessaloniki Province during the Ottoman period and is celebrated in Turkish folk songs. We see the historical Drama Train Station, which is one of the Ottoman-era structures, and conduct our panoramic city tour. Accompanied by our guide's explanations, we visit the Water Sources named after Saint Barbara, one of the important saints of Christianity and considered the protector of the city. We continue our tour by visiting the Beyazıt Mosque, which is an Ottoman-era building that was converted into a church after the population exchange and still functions as a church. Next on our itinerary is a stroll through the city center adorned with modern shops and cafes, where we will have free time for shopping and lunch. Afterward, we leave Drama and head towards Serres. On the way to Serres, we visit the Alystrati Cave, which is considered the largest river cave in the world, with an area of 25,000 m² and a length of 3 km, formed over 2 million years. After our visit, we reach Serres, where we see the Ottoman-era Vilayet building and the Zincirli Mosque. After a short city tour by bus, we will have free time for walking and shopping in the city center. Those guests interested can visit the Çandarlı İbrahim Pasha Bedesten, known for its rich variety of fabrics, which currently operates as the Archaeology Museum. After a break at the city square, starting from the neo-classical building of the Greek Central Bank, we leave Serres and arrive in Thessaloniki, where we check into our hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel. *In winter months, the museum closes at 15:30. The visit will take place if we arrive at the appropriate time.
TAM GÜN SELANİK TURU - JUMBO AVM After having our breakfast in the morning, we are heading to the Atatürk House to commemorate the Great Chief, the Founder of the Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who passed away on November 10, 1938. (It underwent restoration on December 4, 2024; if restoration is ongoing, it will be visible from the outside.) Accompanied by our guide, we will visit the house where Atatürk was born and spent his childhood, which is now the Turkish Consulate. After our emotional visit, we will begin our city tour. Our Selanik city tour will include sights such as the "Kordon, White Tower, Rotunda, Fair Square, Ottoman and Byzantine artifacts, the largest cathedral in Greece, the Church of St. Demetrius, the Statue of Alexander the Great, the statues of E. Venizelos - P. Konstantin, and the squares of Aristotle and Eleftherios." Following our visit, we will go to the Ano Poli (Upper Town) area, which is built on a hill overlooking the city, where we will see the Byzantine Castle and enjoy panoramic views of the city. We will have a pleasant walk among the Old Turkish Houses in the neighborhood known as "Bayır" during the Ottoman period, as we bear witness to the city's history with photo opportunities. We will visit the Alaca Imaret Mosque, built by the Selanik governor Ishak Pasha in 1484, and the Church of St. Demetrius, which is dedicated to the protective saint of Selanik, and we will observe the Roman Agora in the city center to complete our tour. We will have free time at the world-famous Jumbo AVM, where you can find a wide variety of household and clothing items, souvenirs, toys, and everything you can think of. After leaving the AVM, we will return to our hotel. Later, we will have free time to get ready for those who wish to participate in the TAVERN, and we will join the Dinner-Limited Drinks Taverna Entertainment (extra). Overnight stay at our hotel. KAVALA - PORTO LAGOS - DEDEAĞAÇ - IZMIR After having breakfast at the hotel, we will take a coffee break in Kavala, famous for its cookies. After shopping for cookies, we will start exploring Kavala. Accompanied by our guide, we will see the "Aqueducts, Harbor, Castle, 19th-century Neoclassical buildings, Acropolis, Lighthouse, St. Nicholas, the imaret of Kavalalı Mehmet Ali Paşa, and his statue." Following the visit, we will have free time for lunch, stroll, and shopping. Then we will visit the Karasu (Nestos) River, which serves as a border for the Exchange carried out under the Lausanne Agreement, and we will head to Porto Lagos, one of the new trending tourist spots in Northern Greece. Today, we will visit the historic St. Nicholas Monastery, located on two small islands between Vistonida Lake, which is the fourth largest lake in Greece known for its rich flora and fauna, and the Aegean Sea. After our visit, we will arrive in Dedeağaç through Gümülcine. We will take a coffee break in this largest and most modern coastal city of Evros (Meriç) Province in Greece. After free time, we will continue towards the Kipi border gate to enter Turkey. After completing our passport and customs procedures, we will finish our duty-free shopping and enter our country through the İpsala border gate. After a magnificent tour, we will arrive in İzmir late at night and bid farewell, wishing to see you on our next tour.
