Day 1: Night Journey from the Aegean to the Border (Izmir - Ipsala)
On the first day of our tour, between 18:00 and 20:00, we pick you up from designated points in Izmir (Fahrettin Altay, Üçyol, Ege University Emergency, Karşıyaka Girne Street, Bostanlı Pier) with our luxury coaches and begin our pleasant journey. With necessary breaks, we proceed via Ayvalık, Edremit, and Çanakkale towards the Ipsala Border Gate and complete our passport procedures.
(Note: Final meeting times will be notified to our guests by SMS 2 days before the tour departure. Guests who wish may also join our tour from suitable points along the route).
Day 2: In the Footsteps of History (Ipsala - Kavala - Drama - Serres - Thessaloniki)
In the morning, we enter Greece and have breakfast at a suitable facility. Our first stop is the famous Drama, celebrated in folk songs. We visit the historic Drama Train Station, the St. Barbara Springs, the city’s protector, and the historic Beyazıt Mosque, which was converted into a church after the population exchange. After our shopping and lunch break in the city center, we set out to explore the captivating Alystrati Cave, one of the world’s largest river caves, formed over 2 million years.
After our cave visit, we head to Serres. We see the Prefecture Building and Zincirli Mosque, and visit the historic Çandarlı İbrahim Pasha Bedesten, now used as an archaeological museum (when open). After a photo stop in Serres square, we arrive in Thessaloniki and check in to our hotel. Overnight stay at our hotel in Thessaloniki.
Day 3: Visit to Atatürk’s House and Taverna Night (Full Day Thessaloniki)
After breakfast at the hotel, we go to visit the house where our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was born (museum) to experience some of the most emotional moments of our tour. After the visit, our Thessaloniki city tour begins: the places we will see include the Promenade, the White Tower, the Round Tower, the Fair Grounds, Hagia Dimitrios Cathedral, and the Statue of Alexander the Great.
We go up to the Ano Poli (Upper Town) area to see the Byzantine Castle located on a hill dominating the city and to take panoramic photos. After our pleasant walk among the old Turkish houses, we observe the Roman Agora and then move on to the world-famous Jumbo Shopping Mall for free time and shopping. In the evening, those who wish may join an unforgettable Greek Taverna Night with dinner, limited drinks, and sirtaki (extra). Overnight stay at our hotel in Thessaloniki.
Day 4: Northern Beauties and Return (Kavala - Porto Lagos - Alexandroupoli - Izmir)
After breakfast at the hotel, we head to Kavala to taste its famous cookies. After our cookie shopping, we complete our Kavala tour covering the Aqueduct, Port, Castle, Mehmet Ali Pasha Imaret, and Statue, and give free time for lunch.
Leaving Kavala, we see the Karasu (Nestos) River and arrive at Porto Lagos, one of Greece’s most popular recent destinations. We visit the historic St. Nicholas Monastery, built on islets connecting Lake Vistonida and the Aegean Sea, with a mesmerizing view. Then we proceed via Komotini to Alexandroupoli and enjoy a relaxing coffee by the seaside. We enter our country through the Kipi Border Gate, shop at the duty-free store, and after passing through Ipsala, arrive in Izmir late at night and say goodbye until we meet again on new tours.
