## What to bring with you?

🎒 RECOMMENDED ITEMS TO BRING WITH YOU (TRAVEL BAG)

- ID CARD AND MUSEUM PASS
When joining the tour, you must definitely have your ID card with your Turkish ID number on it with you. Also, do not forget your Museum Pass (physical or digital on your phone) so you do not have to wait in line at the entrance of the archaeological sites.

- COMFORTABLE, NON-SLIP WALKING SHOES
Walking through Mardin’s stairways and cobblestone streets, hiking up the rugged path to the summit of Mount Nemrut, and touring wide areas such as Göbeklitepe will be much easier with sturdy walking/sports shoes that won’t tire your feet and have non-slip soles.

- THICK CLOTHING FOR NEMRUT (COAT/FLEECE)
Although the GAP region is generally warm and mild, the summit of Mount Nemrut, at an altitude of 2,150 meters, is very windy and cold in the morning and evening hours, even in summer. Therefore, you should definitely have a thick fleece, windbreaker, or coat in your bag. For other regions, choose layered clothing that you can add or remove depending on the weather.

- SUN PROTECTION ITEMS
The region is famous for its strong sun and heat. Since we will be spending the day in open areas (Harran, Göbeklitepe, etc.), sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and high-factor sunscreen should definitely be with you.

- SCARF OR COVERING FOR PLACES OF WORSHIP
Since we will visit mosques around Diyarbakır Ulu Mosque and Balıklıgöl in Şanlıurfa, as well as historic churches in Mardin/Midyat, our female guests are required to bring a scarf that can be used to cover their heads or shoulders.

- COMFORT ITEMS FOR THE LONG JOURNEY
For the first overnight bus journey from Izmir to the region and the time spent on the bus throughout the tour, bringing a neck pillow and a thin scarf or cardigan to protect you from the vehicle air conditioning will increase your comfort during the trip.

- ELECTRONIC ITEMS AND POWER BANK
Magnificent views and historical artifacts will likely lead you to take many photos. To prevent your phone from running out of battery, please bring a fully charged portable charger (power bank) with you.

- SMALL DAILY BACKPACK
Since your large suitcases will remain in the bus luggage compartment, a small and lightweight day backpack that you can use during the day to carry items you frequently need such as water, scarf, glasses, power bank, wet wipes, and wallet will provide great convenience throughout the tour.

## General Information

📌 IMPORTANT NOTES TO KNOW BEFORE MAKING A RESERVATION

SEATING ARRANGEMENTS IN VEHICLES AND BUSES
- In our bus tours, seat numbers are assigned automatically according to the reservation order (system registration time). No guarantee is given to our guests regarding specific seats at the time of reservation (front window, middle door, aisle, etc.).
- The vehicle type to be used on our tours is determined according to the number of participants registered (19-seat minibus, 31-seat midibus, or 46–54 seat luxury bus). Participants will not be informed in advance about which vehicle will be used for the tour.
- Tour departure times, stop information, vehicle license plate, and guide contact number will be sent to you via SMS or WhatsApp at least 1 day before the tour departure.

ACCOMMODATION AND DINNER (IMPORTANT)
- Our program includes a total of 4 nights’ accommodation. During the Gaziantep and Mardin/Midyat accommodations, dinner will be served at our hotel and is included in the price. However, dinner is NOT included in the Diyarbakır and Şanlıurfa accommodations. In Şanlıurfa, an extra-fee “Sıra Gecesi” with dinner will be organized, while in Diyarbakır, free time will be given so you can experience local flavors (such as liver, etc.).
- In triple rooms at hotels, the 3rd bed may not be a standard-size bed. The hotel may provide an extra fold-out bed (sofa bed). Please keep in mind that the room may be cramped when making your reservation.

PHYSICAL CONDITIONS AND OPERATIONAL SITUATIONS
- The GAP Region is geographically rugged and has varying temperatures. Especially the ascent to Mount Nemrut by minibuses and the subsequent climb up the stairs, as well as Mardin’s steep and stair-filled stone streets, require walking effort. Guests who have difficulty walking or have asthma or heart conditions are advised to take this into consideration.
- Our guide has the right to make any changes to the flow and sequence of the tour, while maintaining the quality of the tour, in cases deemed necessary (such as adverse weather, road conditions, congestion at visiting sites, restoration, etc.). (Example: If Mount Nemrut cannot be visited due to weather conditions, our agency cannot be held responsible.)
- Extra tours and entertainment programs listed as optional (Halfeti Boat Tour, Nemrut Minibus, Urfa Sıra Gecesi) are carried out when a minimum of 20 participants is reached.

MÜZEKART INFORMATION
- Within the scope of our tour, many paid museums and archaeological sites affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism (Göbeklitepe, Zeugma, Harran, etc.) will be visited. It will be greatly beneficial in terms of convenience and cost for our guests to obtain a “Museum Pass” from the ticket offices before the tour or on the first day. (You can also download the Museum Pass application to your phone and use it digitally).
