## What to bring with you?

🎒 RECOMMENDED ITEMS TO BRING WITH YOU (TRAVEL BAG)

• ID CARD AND MUSEUM PASS
When joining the tour, you must have your ID card with your Turkish Republic ID number on it with you. Also, to avoid waiting in line at the entrance of archaeological sites, please do not forget your Museum Pass (physical or digital on your phone).

• CASH MONEY (IMPORTANT FOR THE ECO CONCEPT)
Since, under our eco-tour concept, lunch and dinner as well as local evening entertainment (such as Sıra Gecesi, Eyvan Gecesi, etc.) are extra, please keep in mind that some local businesses in the region, bazaars, or for tipping may not accept credit cards; therefore, it is advisable to carry some cash with you.

• COMFORTABLE, NON-SLIP WALKING SHOES
A sturdy walking/sport shoe with a non-slip sole that will not tire your feet will be your best helper for walking the stepped and stony streets of Mardin, climbing the rugged road up to the summit of Mount Nemrut, and touring wide areas such as Göbeklitepe.

• THICK CLOTHING FOR NEMRUT (COAT/FLEECE)
Although the GAP region is generally warm and mild, the summit of Mount Nemrut at an altitude of 2,150 meters is very windy and cold in the morning and evening hours, even in summer. Therefore, you should definitely have a thick fleece, windbreaker, or coat in your bag. For the other regions, choose layered clothing that you can add or remove depending on the weather.

• SUN PROTECTION ITEMS
The region is well known for its sun and heat. Since we will be spending the day in open areas (such as Harran and Göbeklitepe), sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and high-SPF sunscreen must definitely be with you.

• A SCARF OR COVERING FOR VISITS TO PLACES OF WORSHIP
Since we will be visiting mosques around Diyarbakır Ulu Mosque, the Balıklıgöl area in Şanlıurfa, and historical places of worship in Mardin/Midyat, female guests are required to have a scarf with them that they can easily use to cover their head or shoulders.

• COMFORT ITEMS FOR THE LONG JOURNEY
For the first overnight bus journey from İzmir to the region and the time we will spend on the bus throughout the tour, bringing a neck pillow and a light scarf or cardigan to protect you from the air conditioning will increase your travel comfort.

• ELECTRONIC ITEMS AND POWER BANK
The magnificent landscapes and historical sites will cause you to take plenty of photos. To prevent your phone from running out of battery, please make sure to bring a fully charged portable charger (power bank).

• SMALL DAILY BACKPACK
Since your large suitcases will remain in the bus luggage compartment, a small and light daily backpack that you can use during the day to carry essentials such as water, a scarf, sunglasses, power bank, wet wipes, and your wallet will provide you with great comfort throughout the tour.
