You are invited to an unforgettable summit adventure starting from Dikili, heading toward the legendary "Mount Ida" of ancient times, which separates the Aegean from the Marmara! Setting off from Dikili and continuing with a transfer to our special Land Rover 4x4 jeeps in Akçay, this unique route takes us over the sea of forests, almost up above the clouds. We have prepared a full program ranging from the cool waters of the legendary Yayla Çeşme, to the Lookout Tower where we will watch the gulf from a bird's-eye view, to the Sarıkız Summit that shaped mythology, and to Tozlu Yayla in the shade of endemic fir trees. ## Tour Program

### A Journey Above the Clouds: Legendary Sarıkız Summit Tour Route

📍 At 08:30 we start our journey from the meeting point set in Dikili, heading toward nature and mythological legends. After a comfortable journey of about 1.5 hours, we reach our Akçay central office and settle into our private Land Rover 4x4 jeeps waiting for us. We begin a breathtaking climb toward the legendary "Mount Ida" of ancient times, the highest mass of the Biga Peninsula, which separates the Aegean from the Marmara.

🌲 At the entrance of Kazdağı National Park, we receive information about our route from our guide and enter the enchanted forest. As we climb up the approximately 25 km forest road, we feel the natural air-conditioning effect and witness the trees dancing with the wind and the changing face of nature firsthand. When we arrive at our first stop, Yayla Çeşme, we drink from the crystal-clear waters of "Thousand Springs Ida" and listen to our guide tell the sorrowful love story of Hasan and Emine, which has inspired films. Then we reach the Kapı location and the Forest Fire Lookout Tower, perched on steep cliffs, in our jeeps. You will feel as if you are in the land of clouds; while watching the Gulf of Edremit from above, you will feel oxygen wrapping your entire body!

🦅 As we approach the summit step by step, we reach the legendary Sarıkız Peak, which gives its name to many festivals in the region. On a short walk to Sarıkız, we listen to the legend at her symbolic tomb (türbe) and make our wishes toward the gulf above the clouds. Afterwards, we move to Tozlu Yayla and enjoy a free lunch break surrounded by nature, accompanied by the melody of the wind and birdsong. After lunch, we set out on a short and peaceful nature walk to see the endemic Kazdağı firs up close.

☕ As we approach the end of our tour, where we rested our souls by touching nature, we stop at Zeytinli Village surrounded by olive trees on the way back and sip our tea to relieve fatigue. Then we descend to Akçay and set off toward Dikili with our transfer vehicle waiting for us. We arrive in Dikili in the evening, completing this unforgettable summit adventure.

## What to bring with you?

- 🎒 A small backpack: To comfortably carry your personal belongings during the hike and safari.

- 🧥 Windbreaker, light jacket or cardigan: Since Sarıkız Peak and Kapı Mevkii are at high altitude, the mountain air will be quite windy and cool even in the summer months.

- 👟 Comfortable hiking shoes: Flat, non-slip sole sports or trekking shoes that won't tire your feet (Due to the terrain, high heels or slippery-soled shoes are strictly not recommended).

- 🕶️ Sun protection: Sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen, as you will be exposed to the sun in the safari vehicles and at the summit.

- 💧 Water bottle or empty bottle: So you can fill up and drink the ice-cold natural spring water of the mountain at our Yayla Çeşme ("Bin Pınar İda") stop.

- 🔋 Portable charger (Powerbank): So your phone doesn't run out of battery while you take amazing landscape photos and videos above the clouds.

- 💊 Personal medications: Any asthma, allergy or other personal medications you need to take regularly.

## General Information

- ⚠️ Health Requirements: Since our safari tour takes place in bumpy off-road vehicles (Land Rover) and includes ascending to high-altitude points such as Sarıkız Summit, it is not suitable for pregnant guests, those with severe lumbar/cervical disc herniation, or those with chronic heart conditions or asthma.

- 👟 Clothing Advice: Since we will be in forested areas and off-road terrain, it is very important to wear comfortable, sporty clothing and flat, non-slip walking shoes (sneakers or similar).

- 🧥 Weather Precautions: The summit of Kazdağları and Kapı Mevkii are located at a high altitude above the clouds, so it can be cool and windy even in the summer months. Be sure to bring a light jacket, cardigan, or windbreaker with you.

- 👥 Minimum Participation: For our day-trip safari tour to take place with a confirmed departure, a minimum of 25 participants must be reached.

- ⏰ Timing: Guests must be present at their chosen pick-up point 10 minutes before the announced time. Our vehicles cannot wait for late guests so as not to inconvenience the other guests.

- 🌿 Guide's Authority: Since our tour takes place entirely in the heart of nature, our guide has the right to change the summit route in case of adverse weather, fog, or strong winds, for the safety of the guests.
